Anatomy is perhaps the most interesting of all basic sciences. No one can ever claim that anatomy is a dry subject! From embryology to histology to neuro anatomy, anatomy offers an incredible amount of information. It can be intimidating when you are starting out. Many medical students are impatiently rearing to get into the 'real doctor' stuff where they can jump in and treat patients instead of learning all these dreary facts about which is the lateral relation of the subclavian artery!
But once you have mastery of anatomy, the rest of medicine is easy. Once you know where everything is in the human body, the rest is fairly intuitive. And it could also be the beginning of a rewarding and satisfying surgical career. But no matter what speciality you are dreaming of, mastery of anatomy is one of the keys to mastering medicine.
Anatomy Review is a massive collection of thousands of questions and answers which was compiled with one objective in mind, namely to provide a comprehensive review of the subject that leaves nothing to chance when you are facing an anatomy examination.
The format that is followed is very unique. We use the 'Memory Trigger Technique'. It is fundamentally simple. The human brain, when presented with a question, switches itself into learning mode, or to use the parlance of the computer programmers, "WRITE" mode. At this point, when presented with an answer or explanation, the mind retains this information. This is different from the usual listening to lectures, or reading from a book where the brain is in "READ" mode, but the information generally is not retained, which explains why at the end of a one hour lecture you usually remember almost nothing.
